Body Structure is pleased of offer the services of Dr. Jaudon E. Behrman, MD
Dr. Behrman is a board-certified anesthesiologist and practiced for 10 years. She completed medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and did her anesthesiology training at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Behrman is also a trained acupuncturist. She trained with Dr. Yun-tao Ma, PHD, Lic. Ac. and Mila Ma, MD, Lic. Ac. in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Behrman practices an innovative type of acupuncture developed by Dr. Ma. Following his 30-year background in clinical acupuncture, neuroscience research with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and his teaching experience in medical schools and universities, Dr. Ma created evidence-based Biomedical Acupuncture Model and the proprietary Integrative Neuro-Muscular Acupoint System (INMAS).
The Integrative Neuro-Muscular Acupoint System uses acupoints defined by neuronanatomy rather than meridians. Acupoints defined with this system are many of the same as in Traditional Chinese Medicine. INMAS is derived from two great traditions–300 years of Western analytical science and 2500 years of Oriental empiricism; and it succeeds in providing both the standardized treatment protocol that Western scientific medicine demands and the adjustable personalized approach of Traditional Chinese medicine. Biomedical Acupuncture is clinically and theoretically based on scientifically defined acupuncture mechanisms derived from laboratory research data using the latest neurochemistry methods and fMRI.
