B.S. Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science American College on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer

Growing up in Columbus, Ohio I was always involved in some sort of sport. I knew after High School I wanted to pursue an education in the fitness field. I received a Kinesiology degree with an emphasis in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky.
I came to Body Structure in 2008. Since I started I have been able to work with a wide range of populations. Ages have ranged from 9 to 93 years in age. I have dealt with High School athletes to clients in their 60’s that have never lifted a weight in their life until they came to Body Structure. The joy I get out of training is when we are able to reach those short or long term goals set by our clients. It’s an awesome feeling to know your helping a person better their overall wellness.

I have found that I like to gear my workouts towards more endurance based exercises. I think that really can test a client’s comfort level. I myself have gotten into running after college. I have done 4 half marathons and 2 of those I helped train and completed them with one of my clients.
I believe that the gym should be an inviting, inspiring place, and no one should feel the need to “work their way up to the gym”. The important thing is not where you start but how hard you work to improve.
